AMEC Geomatrix Hires Leading Water Resources Modeling Expert, Dr. Sorab Panday

AMEC Geomatrix, Inc., has engaged Sorab Panday, PhD as a Principal Engineer to expand the firm’s leading water resource modeling practice and develop the firm’s presence in the Washington D.C. area.  Recognized as a leader in his field, Dr. Panday brings 20 years of experience in water resource analysis to address a variety of issues including conjunctive surface-water groundwater use and management; resource optimization; stream-aquifer interactions in flow and solute transport; hydraulic ecosystem assessment; agricultural, industrial, mining and urbanization impacts on water resources;  impacts of climate and land use changes on flooding and groundwater recharge; saltwater intrusion in surface and subsurface systems; safe yield analyses for aquifer drawdown and wellhead protection; remediation/containment analyses; and water rights/permitting/litigation support.  “I am very excited to be a part of a progressive, highly successful, technology-oriented company like Geomatrix,” says Sorab, “I have been extremely impressed by the enthusiasm of Tony Daus and other Geomatrix staff and look forward to the challenges of growing a successful water resource modeling practice and a Washington D.C. office.” For more information go to the complete press release.
