Integrated Risk Management
AMEC Geomatrix Decision Analysis (DA) and Performance Assessment capabilities help integrate some of our traditional strengths, such as environmental and geotechnical risk assessment, into our clients’ overall decision-making processes. A performance assessment produces an evaluation of the likelihood that a particular system will meet performance goals with respect to demands from natural and man-made hazards. Performance assessment typically produces a probabilistic expression of the likelihood of certain levels of risk—a format ideally suited for decision and cost/benefit analyses. DA is a sophisticated evaluation method that helps organizations make consistent, logical, and defensible decisions in the face of significant uncertainties and multiple, competing objectives. Our expertise in analytical methods and modeling techniques enables us to quantify key uncertainties and their impacts and to objectively balance natural hazard, environmental, and other risks with the costs of doing business.
