Water Rights Evaluations
AMEC Geomatrix provides strong technical support to water purveyors, landowners, mining interests, and water agencies in developing and protecting water rights. Our key personnel are experienced in the technical aspects of assessment of overdraft conditions, basin definition, water budgets, and research. We also assist water rights attorneys in developing the principal elements of cases in basin adjudication matters and serve as expert witnesses at trial on those issues. AMEC Geomatrix professionals are at the forefront of emerging water-rights issues, including assessment of rights to water recharged to a basin, rights to groundwater storage, groundwater-surface water interactions, “percolating water” issues, reclaimed water use, groundwater return flow calculations, and assessments of potential for sale of water rights in adjudicated basins.
